After 6 hours of alterations to the type, we managed to get the form onto the polygraph. The task was to produce a proof so that we can commence with the make-ready prior to printing the final poster this coming sunday. Make-ready on a letterpress cylinder press is a little different from what we are used to seeing when press checking our offset jobs. Tape stuck to the back of plates, a bit of spit and ripped paper here and there, Bob ensures me after about an hour or two of pushing and shoving we should be ready to go. I look forward to posting the final installment of images early next week.
